For those South Carolina teams that will be attending the Mickey Mouse House of Soccer at the end of December we applaud you! All the best and and don't come back without doing South Carolina Soccer proud! Or at least bring back some trophy ears! Seriously though, enjoy the opportunity of participating in what is arguably the most prestigious youth soccer tournament in all of America!!
PS: Anyone going goofy on Walt Disney and attending the Orange Bowl instead?

Is Anyone Paying Attention?
Over the weekend of December 8 & 9, the South Carolina Challenge State Cup proved to be an exciting spectacle for the hardcore fan as well as the neutral observer!
Were you there? Did you see what happened?
If not, it looks like soccer in South Carolina is starting to appeal to the masses!
Given the numerous climactic scenarios throughout the duration of the weekend one must contemplate the frequency and relevancy of overtime and penalty kicks! Is this cat and mouse conundrum a by-product of competition or simply a desire not to put oneself in a position to lose? I will leave you to draw your own conclusions.
As far as results are concerned, CESA, were their normal dominant self; walking away with a handful of Championships! However, there are some soccer aficionados out there who will argue that they (CESA) were not the all conquering force they once were!
Parity may just be too strong a word - But for the benefit of soccer in South Carolina, let’s just pretend it is appropriate, even if it is for only two days!
Congrats to all involved!
